This is worthy of a repeat its so important.

"Dean was AD from '87 to 2000. from 1960 to 1987, LSU had 2 seasons with less than 5 wins. 8 of the 13 under Dean had 5 wins or less"

That's 2 out of 27 years pre Dean, on the old schedule with lesser games. The suckage period was the exception, not the rule.
