Is the inability to advance a muffed punt or onside kick the dumbest rule in sports? Every time it happens I wonder why the f it's a rule.
It's up there with fumbling through the endzone giving the other team the ball on the twenty.

I don't mind it. Eliminates cheap scores.
I understand catching punts is part of the game, but still.
