Not exactly. This is you saying, what someone told you, that Miles said.

So, it's a JB said, that Person X said, Miles said.

Kind of the opposite of "straight from the horse's mouth" - which would be an official statement from the University, the AD, Miles or something equivalent - see those are examples of "straight from the horse's mouth" - not some random post on a message board by a poster that is a relative unknown.

Said there were a lot of tears shed in the meeting. Guys were upset and unsure. It's not a secret that a lot of the team doesn't want Les to go, but some took it harder than others.

Obviously Miles didnt give me a call and tell me he was leaving...so I concur. Let's just say it came from about as close to the horses mouth as you can get. Someone told me he said it...but it wasn't just Joe Blow off the street.
