75 posts in 4 years? That seems to be interesting. No, Miles supporters are not participation trophy types. It is not an either or proposition. I would say most Miles supporters are realists. Being a Miles supporter doesn't mean you agree with everything he does or that you don't recognize changes need to be made.

Without a doubt CLM is the best coach LSU has ever had. To not see that is self imposed blindness. That doesn't mean we can simply live in the past and give Les credit for victories 5 years ago. It is obvious that our offense has been the pits and we have QB issues and unfortunately these have not been adequately addressed by Miles. This has to be fixed and it absolutely starts with the HC.

If your premise is that Miles supporters believe in participation trophies because we don't win the NC every year then you better include every fan base in the country including Bama. Only one team wins every year and even Bama has been left out for the past two years. Are we happy that we don't win? No. Are we happy that we're already an after thought? No. But that doesn't mean we enjoy being in second, third, etc. place, it just means we accept where we are.

Some of the Miles haters are interesting folks as well. Some on here seem to think that once we get a new coach LSU will establish a dynasty unlike any other in college football history. If only we had pedestrian QB play we would already have won 3-4 more championships. That is simply not going to happen and while I want LSU to win, it will take a few more losses under a new HC for those people to wake up as well.

Enjoy the games and the success of LSU football.
