Thanksgiving week....best sports week all year?

I suppose with the new college football playoff setup you could make an argument for the week between Christmas and New Year's but I'm not sure you can top this week each year. Numerous college basketball holiday tournaments, rivalry week in college football, NFL games and traditional Thanskgiving day Cowboys/Packers/Lions NFL games followed by NFL Sunday. Hard to beat this week.

I wish they would bring back all of the old time rivalries and play them Thanksgiving week. Pitt-Penn State, Tulane-LSU, Texas-TAMU, etc.

For me, yes.
Auburn/Alabama, Broncos/Patriots and Panthers/Cowboys.
Great lineup of games.

I agree. That would truly put this week out of reach. They'd have to spread the games out throughout the day and night from Thursday thru Saturday to get them all on TV though.

I just love the fact that the entire last half of the week from Wednesday thru Sunday is jam packed with college basketball, college football, and the NFL. All that to go along with turkey and dressing and week long leftovers

"Not even close"
How so? What other week has a better combination of sports all on TV at the same time (other than maybe the week leading up to New Year's Day)?

You just nailed it. If you consider the week that runs from Dec 25th to Jan 1st you can get some pretty impressive games.
Christmas Day basketball games are always solid match ups. Bowl games damn near every day. New Year's day slate of CFB.
You could also argue the week from Dec 28th to Jan 4th this year is the best, particularly for a football fan. You've got the semifinal match ups plus the NFL wildcard weekend.

At one time every other Friday after Turkeyday was the best day of the year for me.
Being a graduate of Acadiana High School, I could catch the Tigers at 1:00 leave the stadium and more than likely catch a quarter-final or semi-final playoff game of the alma mater on the way home.
