Pimp, as much as this hurts, you probably nailed it. VERY well said, and I love Les. It may be time to move on, but Les did great things at and for LSU. We won't forget him...

Agreed. The idea of LSU playing a game and Les not being a part of it makes me feel almost sorrowful.

99% of these people that are bashing LSU have never pulled for LSU a day in their lives. They have just latched on to the nearest simplistic narrative. And others (check out the SEC RANT) hate LSU and are using it to slur LSU and damage it and get shitty, cynical "poor Les" Narratives started, after they have mocked the man for a decade.

LSU fans aren't being petulant, we are setting aside our personal affection for the good of the program. This is the opposite of a rash decision. It's taken YEARS for most to get to this point.

As for Les "loyalists"- God bless them. He is certainly worthy of being loyal to. He is a good and decent man and had a helluva good run. I'm so happy we hired him in 2005 and saying goodbye will be extremely difficult for me.
