Harlabos on Simmons' podcast talked about how it seems like the Spurs are actually going against the grain right now trying to play two bigs and slowing down their pace a bit. They jokingly said they would never expect the Spurs to build a roster just to beat one team, but it sort of looks like they are trying exactly that to beat the Warriors.

Well GSW is young and have a lot of their core locked up so you can't really blame the Spurs if they are trying to build a roster to beat them.
