I stopped reading when you started to bitch about Chavis. Chavis's only faults for losses were probably the Georgia 2013 game(I'm sure there were a few more)

Chavis kept Miles employed for a long long time.

People freak out about Chavis blowing games---> a competent offensive minded coach can close out a 4th quarter lead. Les couldn't do that.

we can agree to disagree. I stated Chavis was a good coach but his recruiting sucked as did his DL coaches recruiting. I have eyes and I saw MSU, Auburn, Bama and Notre Dame absolutely dominate our defense last year. and frankly, last years D was better than '13. the middle of that defense was the softest I've ever seen at LSU.

He was spot on about Chavis. College football is as much or more about recruiting as it is about Xs and Os - Chavis was a non-entity on the recruiting trail. His big get was Clifton Garrett.

Bama in 2013? Auburn in 2014 (okay, we only scored 7, but we gave up 41)?

And lots of late drives given up to Bama and others. He's on the hook for more than 1 loss, that's for sure.

I agree. It's really a lot to ask of a DC. Hard to expect to beat Bama by scoring 13 pts.
