We went through Wakezone rentals on Lake Ouachita. They piloted the houseboats to whereever we wanted since if they ding the prop its on them. If you ding a prop its on you $$$! You really need to know the lake to move one of those beasts on your own. The reservoir moves up and down as weather changes. Lots of small islands that are barely visible at normal pool. Also, they were available at any time to move us day to day. They really know the lake and offered suggestions based on our party's wants. Im sure if you tell them about your situation they will be glad to point out some good spots. Also, as a few pointed out see how many people can be on board by COast Guard regs. You may have to many to motor out.

Thanks - we're using Wakezone too and I've already disclosed how many in our group and our plan and they don't seem to have any issue with it. I'm also having them captain the boat for that exact reason. I'm not even close to equipped to drive an 80' boat.

not saying you are wrong, but we operated the two biggest boats they had on our own without ever being on the lake before. We are all experienced offshore fisherman so we know boats but they give you a course before leaving the dock, at least our company did.
