If This Is all a False Alarm, Alleva Has Just Torpedoed 2016 Recruiting

He has essentially taken the legs out from under this coaching staff.
This will probably cause the #1 class to disintegrate and basically make next year a lame duck year and kill future talent on the team for the next coach.
The only way you let all this noise happen with this staff and the way the staff has recruited, is to make the move swiftly and with a new coach ready.
Letting this linger may be the worst decision LSU Athletics has ever made.

I don't think they've let it go too long. But when/if the news breaks, the new coached better be announced quick.

Any more "inside info" about Miles' imminent departure/Jimbo's return to BR?
Seems as though someone put the brakes on whatever was going on. I don't see how Miles and his staff can run the program with any credibility at this point, though. He effectively seems to have gotten vote of no-confidence from the board and AD. I wonder what gave them all a moment of pause.

This has been handled so incredibly poorly - if they don't have the reincarnation of Vince Lombardi ready to go, with an entire staff of top recruiters, they have set this program back years.

I fail to see what anyone officially employed by/representing LSU has done to "let this linger". Seems like yet another media-driven circus. Did Alleva not say he won't comment on anything until after the ATM game? What if he said Les is staying and then he's fired? That would go over great huh?

That's just crazy. These moves are hardly ever made or commented on until after the last game of the season. Theres always smoke and rumors around the situation and it'll be addressed after the A&M game.

Maybe.
I wouldn't put it past this staff to finish up strong anyway. In other words, while your logic is sound, and Alleval would literally be making things harder on the program (a cardinal sin), the recruiters on this staff probably succeed anyway.

CANNOT be a false alarm. Alleva had said zero in support of Miles.
