I heard it from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from a TAF member who has a connection w/ Alleva that Alleva is flying to Jimbo today to offer him the job.

I have news for you, the Easter Bunny is NOT real, Santa Claus is not real and Jimbo is not ....I repeat NOT going to sacrfice a possible shot at the CFB playoff by letting this get out and FSU has a shot at it.

If it goes down any other way than Miles announcing he's retiring after the season with a negotiated buy out that is more in line with the $12 mil he'd be owed after 1/1/16, I'd be very surprised.

.......and let him coach the remainder of the season, inluding the bowl game.

Allow a coach, that has absolutely earned it, to bow out gracefully.

We are 4-7 in the SEC West these last two years.

They'd better have the replacement secured and not just an option. Based on the DC hire last year after the top options fell thru, we might end up with the ex Miami Coach Golden.

If there are facts behind schad's statement, then miles has been told to resign today or be fired tonight. He is going to tell the team he would never quit on them and that LSU CAN FIRE HIM. All caps not intended.

Technically if he retired after the bowl game he would not be quitting on his players.

My sources who work in the Athletic Dept. say that he will be fired before the 1st that money is not a problem. I would be shocked if they fire him before the 1st because MONEY is always an option but I trust my source so I am torn between what makes economic sense and what is being stated by this contact. Wow already.

Saving $2 million would not be worth the arse kicking we'd take on the recruiting trail for the next 6 weeks.

Wrong. Instead of 17 mil it would be a little over 12 mil. with the assistants and their buyout which is in Miles contract. That's over 4 million.

He shouldn't be fired one way or the other. Be grown ups LSU, negotiate a mutual parting of ways. LSU looks bad firing Les. Look slightly less bad forcing a retirement.
