Les Miles is expected to have a "special meeting" with his players Monday afternoon, according to team sources (this is an update from an earlier report noting it would happen in the morning). While the extent of the meeting is not known, there is growing concern on the LSU team that they may be losing their coach in the near future.

This was expected. He said as much in his press conference after the game. They asked why now (?) and he said "you guys have been talking about it and mentioned Monday, so I figured why not then". This is just to address the rumors. I don't expect anything to come out of the meeting.

I wouldn't read to much into this meeting. I'm sure he is just going to tell the players not to pay any attention to media/social media regarding his job status and not get caught up in "winning it for Les", but just to focus on their assignments and execution.

"I'm still the coach, and all the assistance are still coaching. The plan is to remain coaching, so we need your full effort for the A&M game. Treat it as a normal week"

That sums up what the meeting will be about

They should be more concerned with how bad they've been playing. Maybe look in the mirror and take some responsibility for getting their coach RUNNOFT.

Is this where we come to wildly speculate about what will occur during the meeting?

If I'm positive he leaves, does that make me a posi-tiger? I think he'll be the coach next year, so I guess that makes me a nega-tiger.

This whole affair has been a boondoggle for over a week.. We should be looking at Alleva in the same light of confusion and execution as we have this team over recent weeks.. This is heading towards a case study in how not to breakaway from a coach with this much success and historical relevance at a major program.
