I agree to some extent, the grass ain't always greener and our AD is much too inept to make a good hire.

Lol...really..I guess not making the college playoffs or not being a college powerhouse is perfect in your book as long as miles win 8 or 9 games and get a top recruit you good ha?

The gentleman spoke the truth to us. Les got a lot from this VERY young team. They are lacking depth and that combined with injuries have finally caught up with us. Losing great players to the draft continues to haunt us. We have a qb light years better than last year and the best rb in the nation. The tigers are loaded with young players, and a top recruiting class, it would be a shame to throw that away. Those of us who lived thru the end of Charlie Mac, Stovall, archer, and bled during hallman and denardo know exactly what will happen. If lsu had not gotten saban we would thinking that les was the second coming of coaches. Did anyone really look at ole miss last week. They were better than us, a senior laden team that's defense reminded me of our 2011 team and we were attacking them with freshmen and sophomores . If your going to get on les's arse get on him for not full scale recruiting his juniors to stay. Leave les alone, you will never get an established coach to come, and you can't find one better than less

Not as young as you think. Half of our o-line and much of our defense will be gone next year.

Sounds like our head coach failed to recruit properly.

A coach at LSU deserves to be fired if Ole Miss fields a better team than us. And where do you get this "senior laden' junk? Ole Miss' best players are juniors? Are they better at qb than us? If they are you have to ask why Les refused to offer their qb when everyone knew we had a hole at qb.

We didn't lose but one early entry last year.

Just wait and see.

Actually, USC had hit a very low point till they hired Carrol and he turned them into National Champs.
So yes, the right hire is important and the program can go either way.

USC got sanctioned into the stone age, and there is an argument that Texas waited too long to fire Mack Brown.

LSU has a ton of talent, Louisiana has a ton of talent.

We are willing to pay a lot of money.

Coaches want to coach in the SEC. Bielema left Wisconsin to go to fricking Arkansas.

Also lets not pretend Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Miami are on the same level as LSU right now.

Sadly this is exactly what will happen, but I guess that is what LSU fans deserve. At least I'll have my Saturdays back to do more important things.

But, but, but anyone would uproot their families for this fan base and the beautiful metropolis of Baton Rouge. You people are delusional.

I want to win too, but I am old enough to remember.

This mentality is such a losers mentality..

Good gosh. This is exactly LSU's problem.

You "hope" to win.. rather than say Alabama who "expects" to win.

Are are you content with 2 bowl victories in the past 6 years.. How?

And why are you worried about how bad LSU was back in the day. Was LSU ever this established of a program? This top tier? LSU has proven they can make a coaching transition with elite recruiting and win a National Championship with b2b coaches..

Why are you so scared of those days.. LSU is established and continues to recruit with the best of them.. if you wait too long.. you will lose that interest.. you will lose those recruits.. We aren't just losing games now, we are getting blown out. It's unacceptable..

This isn't fun either.

You realize the amount of talent LSU puts into the NFL now? It's an absurd amount of talent.

Was LSU doing this back in the day? Leading the league in players to NFL on a consistent basis?

LSU doesn't have any other big school to compete in state with.. and now that they are established they are going to continue to have tremendous classes... as long as they stay relevant.

We aren't even competitive in these losses.. It's embarrassing.

well, the op post is a reasonable scenario that may play out. LSU fans need to stop thinking that LSU should/will win multiple nc and that everyone will want to coach for LSU. not so. jimbo not likely to come here.

Les needs to go because he WILL NOT change and he will not let the offensive assts. do their job. he just won't do it. he has put too many restrictions on the offense.

do I trust alleva. no and hell no but this is what we have to do.

in my opinion, frank and orgeron combined are as important as the new coach. if we don't keep them and they land at aTm, florida state, etc. then LSU will lose control over the state. I'm not convinced that they will want to stay. I think their contracts should end soon, so they may want to look elsewhere now. I would if I was getting passed over for a promotion.

It's interesting how different the posters in this thread feel about rolling the dice on a new coach. The confidence some of you have that a new coach will be an upgrade is bewildering to me. I'm starting to wonder if it's an age thing. I'm 45 and remember too well all the dark years(decades) before Saban/Miles. Even the few Arnsparger years were nothing compared to the last 15 years. Old Bill never got us close to sniffing a NC, we'd run him out of town now. History says that success at LSU has been the exception, not the rule. Maybe it's just me, but I suspect a lot of you that are ready to pull the ripcord are more youthful, and cocky, than an old man like me.

'I'd like to hear from Miles to hear real answers and not his typical BS'

Here lies the real problem with Miles! He never answers with real answers but trolls the fans with BS.

When asked about the special teams he said he would take care of that but ST are still running out kick offs with penalties that put us starting on the 5 yd line. Domnigue missed a gimmy FG against Ole Miss. Was it the holder? Don't know and will never know but that missed FG was important and is just like a turnover and takes the air out of the offensive to see all their hard work reap nothing.

As for the running game is it FB Moore was such a great blocker that Mouton and others can't fill Moore's shoes? Don't know and probably will never know.

Now Miles says the team 'enjoys' practice. Well WTF does that mean after three straight losses.

Give us real answers and we will understand.... as no one is perfect.... give us Obama BS and only the liberal fans will want you to stay.
