A starting QB spot. Treon is Garb and Grier won't be back until late next season. It's that simple. Plus he's closer to home.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure his parents were following him to BR. And if that's true, not really necessary to stay close to home in that case. Plus Grier will be the starter when he comes back.

As far as a team on the upswing, I mean I just see them as taking advantage of a down East.

But whatevs

His family is from Texas, not Florida so the home state team/closer to home shtick is irrelevant.

He'll be in Texas for Thanksgiving so I'll have updates this Thanksgiving week/weekend.

Short answer:

Coaching, distance, hype surrounding SEC east championship, coaching and coaching.

This was settled on the field a few weeks ago.

However, it is hard to argue that Les/Cameron are better than McElwain at this point.

A great coach who is winning with a qb about less talented than Anthony Jennings. Dude McElwain is legit Florida is going to murder people next season!

Don't pay much attention to SEC football do ya?

McIlwain >>> highly respected offensive coach. Took team from dead to SEC CG in one season...

Miles >>> Dead man walking. Team is headed down hill at the moment.
