Misidentification. As a resident of the area (by way of the bayou region) my observation is that these kicks are reserved for the hoards of spike slaying local plant workers who typically hunt midweek on other people's property. My south of I-10 people would never be caught seen wearing such footwear. It's crocs with socks until the white rubber shrimp boots go on. I have a pair on now.
