If every conference had to do it, I think strength of schedule would go even more into playoff committee rankings. For instance I think you could see more 2 loss teams being ranked ahead of 1 loss teams or 1 loss ahead of undefeated if teams had to match up with multiple high ranked OOC teams in a year. Say the SEC had the Pac 12 in the scenario and UGA draws a #10 ranked Oregon and loses and also has their yearly game with Tech who is ranked #20 in this scenario, and they also lose but run the table and win the SEC finishing 11-2. They would be a playoff team over a 12-1 team that didnt play the two hard OOC teams imo.
