....well, I need to work on my clarity

Just pretend it's 3rd and 12 and call for a 5 yard curl.

Yeah, that's why. Definitely not because Chavis left after most of the available DC's had signed on elsewhere. And definitely not because Steele was ok with keeping the rest of the defensive staff in place.

how long had LSU been waiting for Chavis to sign his contract?

OC's come here to bring about a bad end to their careers. I agree none of the good ones want to work for Miles at this point.

I think around $1 million would be the budget, which would likely be close to double what he's the guy is making now and would make him the highest paid OC

This is silly. We'd be able to find another OC given it is done early enough. Most of your points are silly.

Kevin Steele makes $1M. This represents at least a $250K pay raise from the salary of virtually every non-SEC defensive coordinator in the nation. In most cases, it represents DOUBLE their salary.

And yet, we hired a guy who absent us hiring him, wouldn't have a top 40 DC job this year.

Me thinks you underestimate factors other than straight cash in the job hunt for these guys.

Contemplate that Miles last few hires have been

OC = Friend
DC = Low Demand Settle Job
STC = Friend who has failed at every job he's had for 10 years

Don't you think for a minute this is an accident.

You keep ignoring what I said.

We didn't get in the DC hunt until January. That is huge disadvantage. The price for a DC is comparatively higher than an OC too. Louisville pays $1.4m, Clemson pays $1.35m, VY $900k

LSU's offense has remained the same since miles got here

bullshite. Our offense 05-08 was much better than the crap we've had here since.

The year when Buster Davis, Dwayne Bowe, Doucet all had over 600 yards our offense was fiya.

It was at the end of the year. 3 points at auburn and struggled to run the ball early in the year

3 points at auburn

Ritter easily took 21 off the board for us that game and gifted Auburn their only score.
