I thought about your post for a long time. Once I saw you had 72 down votes, I decided to respond.

I am old enough to remember about race relations in the 1950's. It was illegal for blacks to date whites. There was segregated seating in movie theaters and on public transportation. Schools were segregated. There were separate eating and sleeping facilities. I remember the "White only" and "Colored only" signs.

It has been 50 years since The Civil Rights Act and The Voting Rights Act were passed. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

I suspect you are not old enough to have experienced true racism.

I am in no way responsible for anything that happened 150 years ago. And I will never, ever apologize for anything that happened then.

I truly am interested in why you think there is rampant racism today in this country.
