The dude had microfracture surgery in his knee. Let's not act like he sprained his ankle and is refusing to come back.

Now, if his production remains at the same pace for his career then yes, he is a huge bust. (especially since Mack has had a such a solid start to his career) But you need more time for someone who started his career getting his knee fricked up.

On a personal note I hate how the Texans use Clowney. They actually drop him back in coverage and throw him all around the line. (we tried that once or twice at SC and it never worked out). The dude is fast and strong, he is best suited on the end.

And UGA fans of all people should know he was more than just the Clowney hit. Hell, your QB admitted to having nightmares about him.
