If you enjoy being filthy all the time, sweating your arse off in the summer and freezing your dick off in the winter, then it is for you.

Seriously though, i worked in pipe fab shops and in the field before i went to college. It isn't bad, just didn't want to do that my whole life. Protect your eyes no matter what you do.

Nothing wrong with doing this type of stuff..... If college isn't for my son, he's learning a trade....

Buddy of mine was a base electrician for Chevron back in the 80's... He retired from Chevron, now he does consulting work for about 200k a year....

It's not a terrible idea. Once you learn the trade you can buy an inexpensive unit and do minor repairs on stuff. I know a few guys who do it for ppl they know and make some really good side cash.
