One of the only "injuries" I remember from my entire childhood was when I was put in goal just for a penalty kick (because redneck 6 year old soccer is serious shite) and immediately had a rock solid soccer ball launched into my face. I asked my mom if I blocked it multiple times. For the record, though, I stopped that shite like a boss.

So, I guess I somewhat understand why this is a thing. I just wonder how you really handle the transition to "headers allowed now, guys!"
