Remember when we lost to Florida in 2003? What was the result?

No one really knew until the championship game. A reporter asked Saban how he handled that loss (iirc, may have been an OLine player) and managed to fire the team up to improve and play lights out the rest of the year.

He basically said he made the team, and specifically the OLine, watch the movie Seabiscuit. It's sounded stupid on the surface, until I watched Seabiscuit all the way to the end.

The idea was a reject, deemed as a failure, played with a HUGE amount of anger and internal confidence when he was finally trusted and unleashed. The horse would stare down the other horses around the last turn...stare them into submission because he knew he was the greatest.

It was said that lit an unbelievable fire under that team. When they lined up they would make sure they made eye contact with the DLine and stare them into submission like wild animals.

Man I miss seeing that....a team unleashed.

Fitting because our team's biscuit is probably hurting this morning.

The difference is we still controlled our own destiny after that loss. The SEC championship was still ours if we took care of business which we did.
