I have no idea why people recommend pistols for home defense, especially for women.
I've been around guns and am familiar with shooting guns and I can't hit shite with pistols.
I'd much rather my wife just point and shoot with a shotgun than trying to aim with a pistol.

Thats what I am thinking as well! I know damn sure my wife wont be aiming with the shotgun, she would def be pointing and shooting

Shotguns aren't exactly fool proof tools. Shoot a target with a shotgun at around 5 yards and you'll see that the projectiles don't exactly spread out like most people think.
Handguns are good because they allow you to be able to move much more easily from room to room.

Do you know what the pattern looks like with 00 Buck at typical home defense distance? You still have to aim. You're also firing 8 or 9 .38cal projectiles downrange, not awesome if you don't hit your target.

Depending on your proximity to your neighbors a shotgun might save their lives too.

Just because you suck doesn't mean shite about anyone else. My gf has my USP .45 and had no trouble shooting accurately with it.

You have to aim with both. This isn't the movies, shotguns don't spread the pattern of shot nearly as much as you think it does at home defense distances.
