It is an absolute landslide.

Loser stoners forgot to show up to the polls while every decent parent was likely there doing the right thing.

Good on ya, ohio.

Gotta love letting the government infringe on personal liberty and maintain a blackmarket system for no apparent reason! I love spending endless tax dollars arresting people for making decisions about their own bodies! Awesome stuff!

fricking idiot.

All the pot dealers showed up to vote, they're like 15% of Ohio's economy now.

Because people can't be trusted with what vegetation they put into their own bodies.

I moved to Seattle this year. Never really touched marijuana back in Louisiana, but it's kind of cool to buy a joint every now and then in a safe, clean, warm environment knowing that it is regulated and taxed to improve the community. Everyone wins! I didn't have much of an opinion about it before I moved here, but with new perspective it's very hard to figure out why anyone would oppose legalization.

It's less a rejection of legalization than it is a rejection of the structure set up in the current proposition. The proposition would have created a shared monopoly of 10 growers. There were some other issues I don't recall offhand, but it was a controversial measure not just because it's pot. I have friends in OH who were undecided on this or even leaning no who are actually in favor of legalization.

It was voted against because part of the law gave growing rights to just a few specific farms/companies. Corrupt bs.

Don't worry, though. A decent bill will come around and do it the right way.
