Why do you want him around other kids?
One to one is perfect if you can do it. I don't think there's a great need for socialization at such a young age. If that's the reason, do some Mother's Day out or church stuff

Holy crap balls our 11 month old has been in a day care for 2 months and the difference is tremendous. He was being watched one on one, but health reasons forced us to stop that. The socialization has been great. May be a one off, but for us it was a great move.
Only downside is the cost of a good daycare is pretty high and most good ones have waiting lists unless you are lucky.
