There is no way a tuned and deleted truck would pass a sniffer test. Not even close. EGR is a huge part of controlling NOx.

Check your warranty papers if you fail an emissions-related component. I believe the EPA requires manufactures to warranty those components for a good bit longer than the regular powertrain coverage. I doubt it's 200k miles but check it anyway.

the sniffer test for diesels doesn't test for Nox...they test for opacity...40 is allowable... there are tuned trucks(with an EGR delete) scoring 3 on the sniffer

testing for Nox will only take place on trucks \that have after treatment systems...we are talking EGR deletes not DEF correct?

There are no emissions laws/testing for diesels in Louisiana.
