quote:It's star wars. It won't die that fast. Look at how many maps battlefield 4 started out with and how many DLC map packs they included. DLCs will include games modes as well. I don't expect to be a game changer for fps, but EA is going to put the time in to make this last. Three more star wars movies means they will be looking for a second battlefront. $$$$$
I played the beta/demo, and other than server disconnects (intentional), I had zero issues. But of course, there are more maps we haven't seen that could introduce other problems.
I'm probably going to get it but hold off on the season pass. I need a filler game, and I want to get away from the rinse-and-repeat COD releases. I'm just a little apprehensive because of all the bitching about it being too casual. Not because I want it to be less casual, but because I'm getting it for PC, and PC FPS players are generally obsessed with hardcore competition, so I fear a rapid decline in player population a la every COD release, Titanfall, etc.
Also, based on my observations from the demo alone, it gives me a very titanfall-esque feeling in terms of depth (or lack thereof). Didn't see a whole lot of weapons and perks, and if you combine that with just a dozen maps and one game mode that people gravitate toward, it can potentially be dead in a month.
