So the loss is on Whiteside? Yet, in the same paragraph you say this:

A player's performance in the last few minutes is the sole determining factor in regards to his contribution?

And here I thought games were 48 minutes long.

When you are trying to proclaim him the best Center in basketball, yes.

No one is saying he didn't have a great game.

Just that if you take a guy out, because he can cost you games down the stretch with some aspect of his play-- whether that be defensively or from the FT line--- where all other factors aren't able to outweigh that handicap-- then it is a serious knock on any claim that he's the best at his position in basketball.
