re: Anyone have pet insurance?

I have it one of my dogs due to the breed. She's an Italian Greyhound and they are prone to leg breaks because of their very small leg bones. Requires a specialist and costs upwards of $5,000 to repair. Know someone that this happened to so we opted for the insurance just for her. We have the cheapest plan thru VPI and it normally pays 80% depending on the issue. No leg breaks but it has been a good investment because she's had other stuff wrong which included a visit to Auburn Vet School which ended up being around a $1,000 bill.

No insurance on other dog (Doberman) but luckily he's very healthy and has had no issues.
