Him and I have a great relationship and talk often and openly.
He's known for a while now that he's not well and has already planned and paid for his funeral.
We've talked about death openly as he has seen many of his classmates and friends pass away.

I just don't know what I'm going to do when he's no longer just a phone call away. I'll miss hearing him gripe about "those damn Saints" His smell, his laugh and his crazy sense of humor. He's my dad but we've been like great friends for a long time.
