cracked WIF most likely...but could be the filter head needing a rebuild.
I would NOT recommend the use of Wix filters on a Dmax...Seriously!
The Factory filters are the best for this application.
Plastic fuel filters(Wix/Napa)could be your problem as well...they have been known to leak air and or crack.

Agreed on the filters. I always used factory brand, or Racor (who I believe makes the factory filter) when I had a Duramax.
