I'm sure the defenses that each faced were similar as well.

Fournette is the best RB in football. All you have to do is watch him play compared to everyone else to see that. The other guys you listed all have chances to be good NFL starting RBs though, so that's why right now, in college, it isn't that ludicrous to say. Fournette will continue to separate himself as the sample size increases. Your YPC stat as evidence that Cook is better is pretty stupid. It's easier to maintain a higher YPC when you carry the ball for 2/3 of what someone else does. Plus the competition the two teams have played aren't even close, as others have mentioned.

Saying you think Cook is better than Fournette is fine since he's a great player and you're entitled to your opinion, but purely basing that argument off a slight difference in YPC is pretty stupid.

I could easily point to an 85 yard TD run that Fournette got called back because a WR was lined up a 1/2 yard off the LOS that would have his YPC at over 8.5. Also LSU basically runs a goal line offense on about half their running plays. I've watched a decent amount of FSU this year and agree that Cook is an awesome back, he also seems to generally have more space to run which I think is a function of the offenses each player plays in. I agree that LSU has a superior OL which helps Fournette, I also think LSU telegraphs their run plays more than anyone in the country which makes what Fournette is doing even more impressive.

lol you said this year, then proceeded to bring up 2014.

you are being a troll and looking to start stuff

fournette doesn't even play most 4th quarters and cook plays in the acc..

get back to us when cook goes for 180 and 2 tds vs florida.

just let the season play out..

You are trolling because your whole point in asking people to list their top 5 running backs was to show that you put Cook ahead of Fournette.

That was your whole point in making the thread, even if you really believe Cook is better.
