One interesting angle though even though it won't get him shite back this time: does Chevron allow it's independent station owners to sell parking spots because of this very reason(liability)? For extreme example, say a local Chevron starts hosting oil wrestling matches in the parking lot. Chevron would have something to say about that as opposed to Rags example of Coca Cola products being sold. It is a Chevron Station at the end of the day.

I'll bet the Chevron Corporation has contractually specifically insulated itself from nuisance damages such as this with its suppliers and retail outlets. And their lawyers are smarter and better than most everybody else's.

There is little or no legal recourse for the OP.

No it's not, Mikel. That's a convenience store that sells Chevron gas. Hence, my valid Coke example. It's no difference. Chevron is one of many energy companies. They aren't in the convenience store biz ..
