I'm not sure anyone cares how you feel for him but he has had a really screwed up life. Mother died of cancer when he was young, dad was a heroin addict, he had a son die of sids and married and divorced a Kardashian in the constant eye of tmz. I could be wrong but I never had the feeling that he sought the fame the way others do.

he started his career in LA and asked the clippers not to match the offer made by the heat so he could escape that area and its limelight/vices
