Why not Ventura game 1? He pitched Monday and game 1 is Friday...matchup based decision or what?

Because that would be 2 straight starts on 3 days rest for Yordano, which might not allow Ned to start him on 3 days rest in this series down the road. This would make the Royals have to start a 4th guy which I don't think they'll want to do or have confidence in.
But they could go Ventura on Friday and I guess somebody like Duffy game 4. I just don't see them starting Ventura on 3 days rest 3 outings in a row.
