Well, I'm not as calm as I used to be, but I think the idea is to not let it have a negative effect on you. For a long time, my optimism was solely a way to keep this from becoming miserable. Now that all of this drama and these bad performances have bummed me out, I'm having to remind myself that this is supposed to be a positive thing for me.

I just would rather convince myself to be a overly optimistic guy than feel so negative about it like I do now.
