Him replacing Corso would be incredible. He probably wouldn't do the goofy headgear shite but him and Herbstreit every Saturday morning would make me tune back in.

Nobody should ever do the headgear thing after Corso. It's his thing and when he retires it'll retire with him.

That said, Gameday as Corso's replacement would be the PERFECT gig for Spurrier. He'd be amazing at that job.

its amazing how the media is totally ignoring that he quit like a sorry loser, and admitted to it.

He lied to the parents and student athletes and ran away when the going gets tough.

I dont think his track record should exclude him from the verbal stoning that he should get. Its pathetic and weak and I really feel for the players, yet i doubt anyone will care to think about how this may effect them.

Big time $, contracts, coaching FA, and the boosters have ruined any of the "amateur"-ness that was once in college sports. The players get the raw deal and they are ultimately the ones that are most affected by the self-serving head coaches and ADs

Even as a Vols fan I'd have laughed out loud if he said

"Maybe I'll coach a high school team....like Tennessee"

So that justifies being a piece of shite.

Doubt youd say that to your son if he was coached by him

People are shocked but this is how you would expect Spurrier to go out.

If spurrier is not at USCe, does he get to keep his Agusta membership?

As long as he abides by the club rules, yes. He was accepted as a member in 2013 along with Lynn Swann. That's 8 years after he became the HBC @ USCe. You don't negotiate with the green jackets. If they want you as a member, you will be invited.

I don't participate in presidential elections, but if the HBC was running, I'd be canvassing door-to-door.

Spurrier needs to become a full-time Twitter CFB analyst.

I know it'll take him a while to embrace the tech, but could anyone be better about college football in 140 characters?
