Don't need anything fancy. Just something that I can use to mark out distances rather than the ole long step method. 200 yards is the max I'll need

I have a Leopold and it's performed very well for the last 4-5 years.

Simmons makes a cheap one. If 200 is all you need, then that is your best bet.

Nobody makes one that tops out at 200. 600 is lowest I've seen
Do you need angle compensation? Scan mode? What features do you want?
For a good one with good features and warranty, just grab a vortex for ~$380

No features. Just something that can point at an object and tell me how far it is

academy has one called halo that ranges to 500 yards and is $99.

Do the cheaper ones still have a clear sight to them?
ETA: That Vortex looks slick, but out of my price range I wanted to spend

No clue. Relative has one from academy and loves it.

Of course you need something Fancy. It's your chance to own something with the Leica logo on it for less than a grand!

The $99 Simmons one works well for distances less than 200.

They have some refurbs on field supply right now

I've had a Nikon for about 5 years. It works fine for me.
