I've battled with my sinuses ever since I was a child. Getting a neti pot was the best investment I ever made, anytime I feel an infection coming on I can usually nip it in the bud by using the neti pot a few times a day along with psuedofed or mucinex. I was taking singlulair daily but started having bad side effects. It made me strangely jittery and nervous which the doc said was strange since it doesn't have the chemical in it that typically has that side effect or something.... so switched to claritin. No issues since.
