Yea, there's never anyway to know anything. I am lucky in that I knew I'd like my specific field of engineering because I knew I'd make a comfortable living, very rarely work more than 40 hours in a week, and have good job security. They actual work doesn't have much effect on that. The fact that I love my current job is just a bonus.
