Thanks for the advice guys, I'm going to order 2000 ft. I have a closet and a utility room that are fairly central in the house. I guess the good thing about it being in the utility room is I wouldn't need extra cooling. The closet would probably require a vent or a/c outlet.

I did a 3300 sq ft house with a box of 1000 ft cat 6 with runs to all the rooms and had cable left over.

Run conduit up the walls to house the cable in case you want to add something or change them out later.
