Other teams have also done this successfully. LSU w/ Mauck LSU w/ Flynn tOSU w/ Krenzel
Flynn passed the ball 359 times, and LSU passed the ball a total of 442 times. Flynn put up 21 passing TDs, and we put up 29 passing TDs total to go along with 3154 passing yards. That's nowhere near what we are doing now.
Mauck passed the ball 359 times, and LSU passed the ball a total of 402 times. Mauck put up 28 passing TDs, and we put up 30 passing TDs total to go along with 3257 passing yards. That's nowhere near what we are doing now.
Krenzel is the closest thing to what we have done, but even still, we won't pass for 2425 yards like his team did or even 2110 yards like he did, and I doubt we average 8.5 ypa for the year.
Harris would have to average 172.8 yards per game (that is with going to the national championship game) to hit 2110 yards. He would have to average 9.2 yards per attempt for the rest of the season, to reach those goals on 19 pass attempts per game.
I mean it's obvious that you don't understand that OSU only gave up 13.1 ppg and 2003 LSU only gave up 11 points per game. We averaged 38.6 ppg in 2007, and gave up 19.9 ppg, and it caused us to lose twice. So defense was also a big factor in these teams that people keep bringing up.
