Try calling in yourself and see if it works.
Last week some guy told Les he needed to get control of the penalty situation (legit comment imo), and I think Les got offended by it.
Don't know why I listen really - just a chance to hear some mid week football talk I guess. Kind of lame though.

Les did sound annoyed, but that guy was an a-hole. He spent 2 or 3 minutes pontificating about penalties and lack of player discipline and lectured Les on the coaching staff's shortcomings, completely placing the blame on the coaches. He then tried to prove his bonifides by saying he refereed college soccer. What an a-hole...
Les started off his answer pretty civilly, I thought. He explained how they instruct the players on specific rule changes (the no helmet personal foul) and worked on pre-snap penalties in practice. He also mentioned how they've had some great seasons, despite being heavily penalized. So, while not ideal, a lot of penalties wasn't necessarily a guarantee of poor results.
Then he got a little bit hot and took a couple of shots at the questioner, including something to the effect of, "you're very observant. Hopefully you recognize that you played, coach anreferee a sport other than football." It made me laugh.
