RBs, but the main point I was making is that its more of a verbal communication that we as fans don't hear, and its not always the qb communicating that.

Where I played, it was on the center to get all the blocking assignments ironed out presnap. Qb had ability to override if he saw something else that the center couldn't/didn't.

Yeah the center is an under appreciated position. Kind of like the catcher in baseball. I always thought it cool when the QBs pointed at defenders like manning does but I never thought much about why some QBs do it more than others. Seems like the RB should be able to make those reads himself anyway.
