LES MILES is known for destroying/overusing running backs

stopped here. completely untrue when you have an unreal stable of backs every year. that said, les is riding LF, but why wouldn't any coach?

I have too much time on my hands this morning so I'll preface my post with that.

I didn't look at every SEC team but I did look up the stats for LSU, OM, MSU, and Bama going back to Miles first year at LSU (I know these other teams had multiple coaches in this time). I cut out this year for all teams since the sample is still small.

Team------% of carries by lead back------W/ current coach
LSU---------------33.65%-----------------------33.65%
Ole Miss----------36.0%------------------------28.63%
MSU---------------42.64%-----------------------37.4%
Bama--------------42.53%-----------------------40.95%

Stats don't lie. The only coach whose lead back carries less times is Hugh Freeze and 2 of his 3 years Bo Wallace was the leader in attempts which imo isn't a good stat.

All these teams had years where one guy was the "bell cow" and other years where it was spread around more. Thus far this year Fournette has 52.9% of LSU's attempts which is by far the highest under Miles. In '07 The Law Firm had 60.6% of OM's carries, in '07 Anthony Dixon had 56.5% of MSU's carries, and in '11 Trent Richardson had 55.7% of Bama's carries.
