Dude, for every NFL picture like that you can post, I can come up with 100....

And it still doesn't prove that the NFL cares more than college...just like water on your car doesn't prove it rained.

So you can support it, but you're choosing not to?

You said:

And this right here is why college is soooo much better than the NFL. Nobody really gives a shite

Nobody. I'm of the opinion that money magnifies character strengths and flaws. A POS character guy in college is a POS in the nfl. They're working for a future paycheck

Plenty of players care and play hard. That is part of seperating the winners from the losers

Respectfully, disagree.

Certainly, earnings orientation is more apparent among some in the NFL, but I feel that is more a product of the highly publicized and virtually transparent terms of player and coach contracts. These contracts are, to both the payee and the public, probably the strongest barometer of their rank among the best players in the world, and you'd be hard pressed to suggest many other professions in which salaries of the entire organization are readily available to every stakeholder. You can't really believe that college players don't receive benefits which aren't publicly disclosed, but I can prove this no more than you can prove that collegiate athletes "care" more than their professional counterparts. The difference between the two is that compensation outside of those classified as academically proposed violates current NCAA regulations. So, outside of sporadic reports about crab legs or paying mama's mortgage, we aren't delivered the same message from college level about compensation. I do think it's unfair for question the heart of professional players just because of the public nature of their compensation though. These guys sacrifice everything for what they do: injuries impact their livelihood; weights, nutrition, film, practice, all at intensity >>>>>> college; claw for practice squad spots; commute interstate or uproot their entire families with no true long-term stability. You can't question the commitment of NFL players just as I can't say college players play to get laid. It's just that the Haynesworths and Bryants at professional level are more public in their comments and terms of compensation.
