All good advice. I hunt them with a 12 full choke and #4 shot. Seems like over kill but I'm hunting virgin timber so the trees are masssssive. I prefer to make one shot and be done. Really doesn't tear them up bad in my experience. Theyre not like a rabbit. Squirrels have a much tougher hide and even if they fall wounded from 60 ft. will somehow haul arse to the nearest dead log or hole.
