After further review and attempted replacement of blades on the NAP killzone blades, I will not be reusing, repairing or replacing them further.

The NAP killzone has a sliding bolt that binds the blades. As noted before the bolt is small diameter steel and has an exposed hex or screw head and nut. the small diameter and comparatively longer shaft bolt is more prone to bending due to impact. The exposed head and nut creates drag on the broadhead in flight and at penetration although likely minimal. It also increases the potential that the bolt comes un fastened. The sliding function of the steel bolt is dependent on a smooth groove for it to slide in. Since the body of the head is Aluminum, it is prone to nicks and dents from the bolt and blades causing it to be unsmooth and increasing potential for the blades to not open properly.

The Rage xtreme has a stationary screw that the blades slide/pivot around. The screw is stainless steel, allen wrench head and is counter sunk in the head so there is no part of it exposed. This IMO is a better design and has less moving parts and potential for improper deployment of the blades. (I really see no potential for mechanical failure other than possibly not hitting a target with sufficient resistance to impart enough force on the broadhead to open it.

I've always been worried about that type of deployment.
