Yeah I try explaining that to people not from LA....how accents are much more region based in LA.
I will say that my accent does become a lil more southern sounding when I've been drinking a lot or when I go to LA to visit. My husband immediately comments on it when I have talked to him on the phone during my visits back to LA.

Tell me about it. My wife's family is from around Opelousas. It gets hard to understand them on the phone sometimes.

True. Back to my wife, she hardly has an accent if any, but when she gets around her people or gets a little tipsy it starts coming out.This post was edited on 10/3/15 at 9:12 am
