Saw it. One thing I didn't understand: why was the kayak so important? She was freaking out but was it her main mode of transportation? So confused...

Yeah, she was going from Ketchikan to Petersburg, a distance of about 120 miles. Petersburg is about 100 miles South of here, and our closest neighbor to the South.
